Flowers, Fun Treasures & Fair Entries 2011

Below is one of the largest works I've ever done..I especially love it because I have a spiritual connection with the beautiful deer that are a common sight in the Adirondacks..I also love a nice walk in the woods and particularly enjoy the lovely birch trees and recall carving our initials in them as a teen.
Below is a lovely Glass-doored bookcase I found at an antique store..Great buy at $50.00! WOOT!
In the category "Creative Crafts" I entered this magnetic necklace and earring set that I created. It has Swarofski Crystals and Crystal rondelles which make it extra sparkly..perfect for an elegant event:
This next art piece is titled "Secrets"..The lilac bouquet is painted on a matte board and a secret message is written to my sisters throughout the petals..I painted on top of the glass frame to give it a 3-D dimension. I did one a few years ago and thought I'd give it another whirl.
This one is a favorite I entered under photography of a shot I took of my hubby enjoying the fall foliage..I LOVE the serenity of it and have it hanging over our desk in the foyer.
I only entered two this year under "Antiques" simply because of lack of time..I love checking out the antiques at the fair! "NIPPON EYEGLASS HOLDER"

  1. That photo of Ronnie Donnie is really gorgeous. The dolls, however, are kinda SCARY! LOL! (Very Flip Wilson doll-esque). :-P

    Good luck!

  2. LOL, perhaps that's why it didn't win a ribbon.( ?????)
I love the photo of Ronnie Donnie (LOL)..It hangs over his desk in the foyer. When I look at it, it reminds me of the few times he relaxes. Ha!
